This will be the new HOMEBASE for the Thedford.net web site if you wish to speak to someone. Nothing is really too big or too small to add to the site as long as it can bring positive attention to our small town. It is almost TOURIST SEASON. Let me include items of interest that will help draw people to our hometown.

Sports update! Track Season is on its way.

I will try to get some sports information from the coaches. The kids are doing very well. April 24th was the Sandhills Conference meet in Arnold. High School and Junior High all raced at the same meet. Saturday the April 26th will be the Junior High LVC meet Broken Bow.

Thedford Students Present “Sleeping Beauty”

The Thedford fifth and sixth grades held their dinner theater Friday, April 18, with the production of Sleeping Beauty. Under the direction of Sarah Wilson, the cast included 10 students: Cole Taylor, Tanner Redenbaugh, Tayler Hilligas, Diann Scranton, Caden Jameson, Savannah Elliott, TelRae Sherman, Hannah Haumann, Cord Hesseltine, and Brenton Mintle. The Play was fantastic!

Thedford High School Seniors Receive Scholarships

Corey Jameson Tiffany Hardy

Two Thedford High School seniors have been awarded scholarships. Corey Allan Jameson, son of Richard and Tammi Jameson, has been awarded two scholarships to attend Chadron State College in the fall. Corey has received a Silver Presidential Scholarship and an Academic Achievement Award. Corey plans to major in business at Chadron State. Tiffany Ann Hardy, daughter of Larry and Kathy Hardy, has received a scholarship to attend Joseph’s Beauty College in North Platte. Tiffany will be studying cosmetology and is looking forward to starting her own business in the future.

Art Gallery Announces Winners Of Annual Show
The Thedford Art Gallery hosted its annual Art Show on Saturday, April 19th. Almost 40 entries lined the walls. Although photography seemed to be the favorite medium of the day, there were also several works in pastel, colored pencil, oil, watercolor, and digital. Several works were chosen by the day's Judge, Gib Neal of Hastings, as he slowly made his way through the three rooms full of artwork.

TACF’s Second Grant Period Will Be Ending May 31
The Thedford Area Community Foundation’s second grant period of 2008 will be ending on May 31. The Thedford Area Community Foundation would like to invite all interested non-profit groups or organizations that have a request for assistance on a proposed project to apply during our new application period. Applications can be found online at www.thedford.net on the foundation page.
