The people of
Thedford are proud of their community and the area in which they live.
Located on the intersection of NE Highways 83 and 2 it is an ideal location
to live. Thedford is a community with strong moral standards, a good school
system, active churches, and comprised of people who look out for one
another. Attractive to those trying to get out of the impersonal and fast
paced life of the big city, Thedford is what people are looking for. If your
interested in business development, personal relocation, or just a great
place to get away from it all, check out our fair city.
Dining and Lodging
Facilities Thedford has two motels and three restaurants, which can
comfortably accommodate an individual or a large group. The Arrowhead Lodge
has 19 rooms and is located next to the Arrow Café that has a seating
capacity of 40 and is open during the spring and summer months. The national
award winning Roadside Inn has 42 rooms including a Jacuzzi, exercise room,
continental breakfast, and two hot tub suites. The Roadside Inn is located
next to Stubs to offer a combination of services for local and regional
meetings of both private and public agencies. Both the Arrowhead Lodge and
the Roadside Inn currently work on a regular basis with corporate contracts
for lodging. Stub’s Fine Dining is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 10
p.m. and seats 80 people. The restaurant’s banquet/meeting room has a
capacity of 125 and is frequently used by local groups and agencies
because
of its multipurpose nature in hosting a wide range of activities. Another
restaurant, the Red Brick Bar and Grill is located downtown and has a
capacity of 45. Several unique features of the Red Brick are its close
proximity to much of the business downtown, its popular noon special that is
ideal for a quick affordable lunch, and its unique “Sportsman’s Bar” in the
rear of the building. Within a fifteen-minute drive to either Halsey or
Seneca you can find two more restaurants, a motel, a bed and breakfast, and
the State 4-H Camp. Thomas County has 296 beds available for lodging and the
restaurants have a combined seating capacity of 335.
