The Thomas Co. Historical Society members offered a free
will donation lunch stand that featured all donated items
from the various members. R.H. Eatinger
with help from Gary & Ronda Reiser served approx. 125
persons.
Korri Baird of Firth, NE (the grandaughter of Kevin and
Kathy Hood) won the jackpot of $56 in chicken Bingo
The Thedford Service Club sponsored the parade with the
theme "Nursery Rhymes" Despite the heat, the float
numbers were up. Winning first was Ewoldt's Grocery
with Rub a Dub Dub, Three Men in a Tub, Come
to Ewoldt's and Get Your Grub. Second went to Country
Salon with Mary had a little lamb whose fleece was white
with snow, and when Mary needed a perm, the Country
Salon is the place to go. The Roadside Inn took third
place honors.
The Thedford Service Club members and others fed
approximately 500 at the free will donation BBQ. There
was enough meat leftover, that some 25 people
will enjoy this year's fair meat for the next few
months. The packages sold for $40, quite a bargain
considering the price of meat in the store and the
time in preparation, cooking and serving.
